In Orbit Connect, you can maintain the drivers and vehicles for your carrier when your role allows it. Invite drivers, keep their details current, and manage which vehicles are available for tours.
Open Drivers
In Orbit Connect, open Drivers and select Invite driver.
Enter the driver's details
Add a name, then enter an email address, a phone number, or both. Choose the driver's team, role and language, then select Invite driver.
Share the sign-in path
With an email address, the driver receives a link to set a password. Without an email address, the driver signs in with a code sent to their phone by SMS.
Orbit Connect confirms whether the driver was invited by email or added with a phone number. A phone number used for SMS sign-in must be able to receive a code.
Open a driver from the list to view their details. The fields you can change depend on your role. Email addresses are read-only. You can change a driver's name, phone number, team, language or role only when you have permission for that action.
Select Save to apply changes. Each changed field is saved in order. If a later field cannot be saved, Orbit Connect shows which earlier fields were saved and marks the field that failed. Select Discard changes to restore the values currently shown for the driver.
Your own role and status cannot be changed from your account. Another administrator can change your role.
To deactivate or reactivate another driver, select Deactivate or Reactivate and confirm. A deactivated driver can no longer sign in; reactivating the account restores sign-in.
The vehicle list has All, Active and Inactive filters. Select Add vehicle to enter the vehicle class, number plate, identifying details, equipment, dimensions and weight limits. You can also add an internal note, which Orbit dispatchers and your carrier can see.
Open a vehicle to edit its details. To remove it from tour assignment, select Deactivate and confirm. The vehicle stays in the list under Inactive. Select Reactivate to make it available for tour assignment again.
Nordlicht Spedition adds a refrigerated vehicle for its Berlin team and records its number plate, dimensions and weight limits. A dispatcher can then find it under Active when maintaining the fleet. When the vehicle goes out of service, an authorised user deactivates it until it is ready to be assigned again.
